Knoxville has 119.14 miles of paved greenways which often follow natural land or water features. They link nature preserves, parks' cultural features, and historic sites with each other and with population areas. Greenways link neighborhoods to these facilities and to other neighborhoods.

UT Arboretum Walking Trails
There are several miles of trails for walking enjoyment at the UT Arboretum. The trails are part of the self-guided Arboretum Walking Trails System designated by trail markers. Interpretive signs describe points of interest along the way. The trails vary in length and difficulty as described under Trail Highlights.

This .6 mile greenway encircles the block containing Sarah Moore Greene Magnet Technology Academy. The trail incorporates a 1/8 mile track and has access to the school’s playground and native garden.
