The hatchery facility consists of an artesian spring water supply (Buffalo Spring), 24 outdoor concrete raceways, a hatchery building with 23 concrete raceways and three vertical flow through tray incubators, a service building for vehicle and bagged fish feed storage, and a manager’s residence.

Featured Species: walleye, sauger, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, black crappie, blacknose black crappie, white crappie, bluegill, grass carp, striped bass, hybrid striped bass, redear sunfish, rainbow and brown trout, catfish, paddlefish, musky, and fathead minnows. Operated by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency for rearing cool water fish, the Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery is also a productive place for shorebirds, wading birds and waterfowl. Regularly observed shorebirds include Killdeer, Semipalmated Sandpiper, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Solitary, Spotted, Semipalmated, Least, White-rumped and Pectoral Sandpipers, and dowitchers.

The hatchery has 28 main outdoor concrete raceways, one C-Series raceway, six concrete circular pools (not in use), a hatchery building, and two residences. Tellico Hatchery is a trout rearing facility.
