Native Americans are known and celebrated for their resourcefulness and craftsmanship, and this year the Renaissance of the Native American Flute Festival (RNAFF) is holding its second annual festival to celebrate the Native American Flute, just one of the musical instruments crafted and used by Native Americans. The event is being held at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend, TN and will run from June 5-8 from 10 am to 10 pm each day.

This four day Festival will feature nine time Grammy awards nominee and Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame inductee R. Carlos Nakai. Also featured will be Randy McGinnis, Native American Music Award winner and Grammy nominee and Cody Blackbird, the youngest recipient for "Flutist of the Year" by the Native American Music Awards.
There will be a total of 33 performers, including 12 new performers this year. Native American flute vendors will be selling their good. There will also be exhibits, food vendors, along with special workshops and presentations.
No chairs may be brought into the GSM Heritage Center; 650 chairs have been placed in the amphitheater for this event.
